Scholarship Information:

  • All Turk Scholarships are awarded on a completely non-discriminatory basis with no barriers based on religion, gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.
  • Scholarship recipients may attend any non-profit two or four-year college or technical or vocational school that they desire.
  • To be awarded a Turk Scholarship an applicant must demonstrate a financial need for his or her post-secondary education. There is no specific definition or criteria for the measuring of financial need and may include, among other situations: limited family income, parental unemployment, single parent household, unusually high medical expenses, number of siblings in post-secondary education, and the like.
  • There are no specific academic accomplishments or minimum grade point average required to receive a Turk Scholarship. A scholarship award is based upon all information provided on the individual’s application and after a personal interview.

Application Instructions:

All questions must be answered. Please write “N/A” if a question doesn’t apply. If additional space is required for an answer, please attach an addendum referencing the application section and the question.

The following documents will need to be submitted for the application to be considered complete:

  • Two essays (either one video and one written or two videos)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • High school transcript of grades
  • Recent photo
  • Copy of FAFSA application

Applications must be submitted no later than March 1, 2017.
